From humble beginnings Pete’s passion for the dairy industry started before school, running around on his father’s milk run in Albion Park, NSW delivering to approximately 500 houses. When he left school he worked on his cousin’s milk run in Albion Park Rail. From then at the age of 17 he purchased his own milk run in 1988 in Dapto.
Pete built a successful business over the years, servicing many households and businesses with their dairy supplies and eventually sold “Pete’s Pints “in 1994. Pete went on to start up another distribution company before going on to project manager for a local mining company, where he mentored and managed over 60 employees.
Pete started his distribution company in 2014 out of a passion to serve the local community and support our local dairy farmers by distributing and marketing South Coast Milk. Pete’s loyalty and support to our local dairy farmers comes from a young age where he worked on dairy farms and followed his family’s heritage in delivering milk to the community. His family heritage is steep in dairy farms and agriculture.

Over the years Pete has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in management, human resources and program development and has successfully built his own businesses over his life course.
When it comes to work, employment and doing whatever it takes to succeed in business – you will find no fault in Pete Johnston’s work ethics, consistency, reliability and efforts. He goes beyond the norm and has such passion, belief and personal commitment to his work endeavours.
When it comes to South Coast Dairy – I would say Pete could be their number one supporter. The quality of milk South Coast Dairy produces is second to none and Pete sees the opportunity of development and supply of South Coast Dairy products as liquid gold – bringing financial and personal reward to the local farmers and their families as they so deserve – which is close to Pete’s heart.
Since 2014, Pete has endeavoured to help and be part of the distribution of South Coast Dairy products and made it his goal to help South Coast Dairy by being a distributor and representative for South Coast Milk. He was aligned with Berry Co-op/South Coast Dairy’s mission and could see how to help them achieve the results they desired.
Pete approached board members for the opportunity to distribute their milk – and hence South Coast Dairy Distributors and now More than Milk Company was developed.
Since then Pete has also developed in conjunction with milk, non-dairy products (almond, soy, coconut and macadamia) and other small goods products to go with the milk which makes Pete a one stop shop for Cafes, restaurants and small supermarkets.
